Witt Never Dies – for SHOWCASE

Development and Work-in-Progress

FINAL

Finally, I have completed the production of this series. Each part is a standalone work, and it involves many visual tests and experiments that I conducted. It’s a complex process, almost a visual experiment. As for the music, if time permits, I will look for music producers who specialize in this genre to create a series of soundtracks for it.

CH.1 Witt Never Dies

CH.2 King Blue’s Shadow

CH.3 Into The Blue

CH.4 Disappearing Tail

Music

For the first video:
It’s a string composition. I aimed to create a beautiful yet dangerous atmosphere, similar to the ending of the Mafia movie The Godfather Part I, where the Corleone family eliminates the other families under a beautiful string score.

For the second video:
My friend Blue used Suno AI to create an electronic music piece combined with modern EDM elements.

For the third video:
The soundtrack is a piano piece inspired by Ravel’s Jeux d’eau. This music is very serene yet unstable, evoking a sense of calm before an impending storm, foreshadowing the outbreak of war.

For the fourth video:
The music combines hardcore rock with screams and punk rock elements, representing destruction and relentless chaos.

This was a continuous process of experimentation, and there might be room for better choices. If time permits, I’ll work with my music collaborator again to optimize the soundtrack further.

Reviewed and modified

Remaking the first film: Since I hadn’t designed the bomb when making the first film, I used a car as a substitute.

Remaking the shot in Ch.3: the tail animation

When I was working on Chapter 3 (term 3), I didn’t animate the tail. Then, in the final edit of the FMP, I recreated the tail animation.
